‘Created to do good.’ Ephesians 2:10

Ireby is a school where children grow in knowledge, faith and resilience. Here they build their understanding of the world, reflected in our Christian vision:

God calls us His workmanship or His artwork. We are something crafted, with skill and a purpose, by God, for His purposes. Specifically, we are "created in Christ Jesus for good works."

He has already planned what He wants us to do with our lives. We do not need to copy what someone else has done or is doing. He has a unique plan for each of us to serve Him in this world.

By instilling our Christian vision through our learning and play, it is our hope that our children develop a deeper understanding of themselves and the world around them.

We want our children to know that they are part of our local, national and global community and that, in their own unique way, they can help to make our world better place.

To support the our Christian vision we aim to:

  • Offer a wide a ambitious curriculum which supports our children's academic and social development.
  • Be the first-choice primary school for our local area, providing an excellent education for every child.
  • Be recognised as a leading primary school, preparing our children for the next phase of their education, equipping them with the skills to thrive and excel academically and socially.
  • Embrace technology and draw on the rich local environment and outside expertise to enhance the educational experience of our children, providing them with a thirst and enthusiasm for learning.
  • Provide wraparound care for our families and carers.
  • Grow strong relationships with our community, involving parents and carers in their child's educational journey.
  • Support our children to be ambassadors for our schools' Christian vision and values. Helping them to be self-aware, attuned to matters of diversity and inclusivity and  supporting them to make a positive contribution to the world as grounded, emotionally intelligent, global citizens - 'Created to Do Good'.
